Aurora, Cayuga, Union Springs DRI Public Meeting Tonight

SHARE NOW

The first public meeting for the Cayuga, Union Springs, and Aurora $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) will be held Thursday.

A consulting team will be on hand to discuss specific goals and projects for the DRI’s strategic investment plan as well as answer any questions residents thinking about submitting a project may have.

The meeting will be held Thursday from 6-8 at the Union Springs Fire Hall.

Following the public meeting, a Local Planning Committee meeting will be held on June 10. This meeting is also open to the public.

Last month, it was announced that the DRI’s Local Planning Committee had opened its call for projects with all proposals needing to be received by noon on June 28.

With the fast-approaching deadline, planners are asking anyone thinking of submitting a project to attend either the upcoming public meeting or one of a series of office hours being held in person and virtually. The office hours will be held as follows:

  • June 6 from 2:00-4:00p. In person at Cayuga Village Hall
  • June 10 from 1:00-3:00p. In person at Aurora Village Hall
  • June 18 from 9:30-11:30a. Virtual
  • June 26 12:00-2:00p. Virtual

Anyone who can’t attend the above times is asked to email Emma Phillips at [email protected] to set up a time for a one-on-one call.
