Most of the 2,000 rubber ducks missing from Auburn’s annual Duck Derby have been recovered.
According to the Citizen, the ducks were discovered after pictures of the flock were posted on Facebook. The pictures showed the brood stuck in the woods near Casey Park.
The ducks escaped when heavy rains caused the height of the Owasco River to rise over the top of the Memorial Day race’s finish line net near the North Street bridge.
