The City of Auburn is seeking community input on how best to distribute federal community development grant funds.
The city has launched its 2025-2039 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Survey. Funded through the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the money assists low to moderate-income city residents and areas. By filling out the survey, residents will be able to provide feedback on which programs would best help Auburn residents.
Along with its Five Year Consolidated Plan, Auburn completes an Alanlysis to Fair Housing Plan every five years. The survey will also include housing-related questions. The answers to these questions will help the city evaluate how to effectively further fair housing in the community.
The survey can be found here.
Additionally, the city will host two public meetings where residents can provide feedback in person. The meetings will take place:
- November 25 at 5:30p at the BTW Community Center (23 Chapman Ave)
- December 3 at 10:00a at Seymour Library (176 Genesee St)
Two public hearings will also be held for the development of the CDBG Consolidated Plan. Both meetings will take place at City Hall’s Council Chambers. The hearings will take place:
- December 19, 2024, at 10:00a
- February 6, 2025, at 5:00p
