Students and staff from Auburn Enlarged City School District will be in Albany Wednesday.
The group will travel to the Capitol to meet with lawmakers and deliver thank you cards to show their support for the proposed state budget.
According to the school board, Auburn has been in the bottom one percent of per pupil spending in the state for two decades, making it one of the lowest funded districts for 20 years.
This year’s proposed budget would change change that by being the first budget that fully funds the Foundation Aid formula.
