Auburn will need to consider how it wants to spend extra funding it’s received for road work.
City Clerk Chuck Mason told Finger Lakes News Radio that the state has given the city $600,00 in extra money through its touring route program and the council will need to decide how to spend it.
“Sections of State Street, Route 38, closer to the prison are on the list. Doing some more signal work at some of the major intersections to improve and upgrade the traffic signals, some sidewalk improvements in the downtown area, there were several different things on an ala carte list of things that we can add onto this year’s program and the council will try to finalize that decision over the next few weeks.”
