We have a water quality update from the City of Auburn.
The city has received its first quarter samples for Total Trihalomethanes (TTHM) of 2023.
The local running annual average for the disinfection byproducts at the York Street testing site has been lowered from 81 parts per billion to 74ppb. Results from the city’s other three sites range from 39-61ppb, all below the EPA’s threshold of 80ppb.
Auburn will maintain its hydrant flushing program and quarterly monitoring.
Back in January, the city had to send out a public notice after trihalomethanes were found to be above the EPA’s threshold at the York Street site.
