An Auburn man faces up to seven years in prison after being convicted in Cayuga County Court of drug charges.
Seraphin Moniz pleaded guilty on Thursday to felony charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and attempted assault. Back in May, police found six ounces of cocaine inside the 30-year-old’s apartment. As Moniz was being arrested in October on a sealed indictment, he attempted to flee from police, which resulted in an Auburn Police Officer suffering cuts to his right arm and knee.
Moniz will be sentenced in February.
