An Auburn man has been convicted of attacking a bar employee with a knife in 2022.
Cayuga County District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci made the announcement that 40-year old Gregory Jordan was found guilty of felony assault on Thursday.
Just before 2:30a on May 29th of last year, Jordan sliced the victim’s neck at Swifty’s Bar, causing an over three inch long stab wound. He was apprehended minutes later by police.
Jordan faces up to seven years in prison followed by three years post-release supervision once sentenced in July.
District Attorney Grome Antonacci commented, “We commend the members of the jury for the time and consideration they gave listening to and reviewing the evidence throughout the trial. We hope that this conviction and ultimate sentence will provide the victim and his family a sense of justice and closure.”
