Firefighters made quick work of a Friday morning house fire in the City of Auburn.
According to the Auburn Fire Department, crews were clearing an alarm activation in the area of Bundy Ave at 4:36a. Minutes later, the 911 center began receiving calls about a house fire at 3 Bundy Ave.
Upon arrival, firefighters found flames coming from the roof and two second-floor windows of the single-family home. The deputy chief, upon his arrival, requested a second alarm.
Crews were able to extinguish the bulk of the fire within ten minutes and the fire was deemed under control within 30 minutes.
No injuries were reported and crews were able to rescue one pet and save the residents’ valuables.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The fire department was assisted by the Auburn Police Department, Ambulance Service, Code Enforcement, NYSEG, and the American Red Cross.
