The Auburn Fire Department made quick work of a Tuesday morning fire in the city.
The department says it responded to a Seymour Street home just before 10:00a for the report of the building filling with smoke.
Engine Company 3 entered the structure and found a fire in the ceiling of the second floor. It only took approximately ten minutes to put out the fire and damage was contained to only one room of the house.
The Red Cross is assisting the building’s five residents and four dogs with housing.
No injuries were reported and the fire’s cause remains under investigation.
