One local city manager says he will retire when his contract expires at the end of June 2025.
In his budget presentation to Auburn City Council last week, Jeff Dygert made his intentions known after he included an additional position in the budget that would begin in January to start a planned transition for six months.
Dygert has held a number of positions with the city since first being hired in 1994 as a firefighter.
