The votes are in and an annual Auburn event has been ranked as one of the top beer festivals in the United States.
The Brave Brews Festival, a three-day celebration of women and non-binary individuals in the craft beverage industry has been ranked fifth on USA Today’s 10 Best Beer Festivals in the US list.
For the competition, a panel of experts selected 20 festivals from across the country as nominees. The public was then able to vote for their favorite festival until February 26, with the top ten making the list.
Now in its third year, Brave Brews begins Friday and runs through Sunday, coinciding with International Women’s Day (March 8) and Harriet Tubman Day (March 10).
New for this year, the festival is part of the larger Brave Women Week happening across the Fingerlakes from March 3-10. The event sees events, activities, and special sales at locations in Cayuga, Cortland, Monroe, Onondaga, Ontario, and Seneca Counties.
The City of Auburn presents the Brave Brews Festival in collaboration with multiple entities including the city’s Historic & Cultural Sites Commission and the Equal Rights Heritage Center.
