Next week will be a busy time in Auburn as the Ancient Order of Hibernians’ weeklong St Patrick’s Day celebrations begin.
The events will begin on Tuesday, March 10, with food specials at the AOH at 79 VanAnden Street. There will be music, food, and special events throughout the week, culminating on St Patrick’s Day (March 17), with the annual St Patrick’s Day Mass at Sacred Heart Church, raising of the Irish Flag at City Hall, and a full day of festivities at the Hibernians. A full schedule of events can be found below:
- Tuesday, March 10 – Tuesday Night Cheap Eats, 4:30 to 7 pm. Come enjoy delicious foods at prices that are hard to believe. Dine-In, or Take-Out. Cash or Venmo payment options.
- Wednesday, March 11 – A Night to Remember With Psychic Cindy Lane Newcomb, 6:30-9:30 pm. Tickets are $50 each. Call 315-252-6459 for ticket availability. Come reconnect with spirits of friends and family from your past. This is a very popular event and was sold out in 2025.
- Thursday, March 12 – Family Night. AOH opens at 2 pm, and Crane Academy of Irish Dance will once again perform at 6:30 pm.
- Friday, March 13 – Mouth watering fish or shrimp dinner being served from 4:30 to 7 pm. Each dinner is $20. Dine-In, Take-Out and Drive Thru Options available. Phone orders by calling 315-252-6459. Cash or check payment options. Music for the night will be by Jay & Kayleigh from 5-8 pm. Free Admission.
- Saturday, March 14, 11 am. New York State’s Shortest St Patrick’s Day Parade. Chris Major is this year’s Grand Marshal. This parade is a wee 291 feet in length on VanAnden Street in Auburn. All are welcome to march and participate in the parade. Lineup begins near the corner of State and VanAnden Streets. Suffice to say, it’s a short walk.
- Saturday, March 14, 12 noon, to 3 pm, Mike McNabb performs at Auburn AOH. It’s a free admission event. The AOH kitchen will be open selling traditional Irish food.
- Saturday, March 14, 3 pm to 6 pm, rock acoustic group Major Keys performs at Auburn AOH. It’s a free admission event.
- Sunday, March 15, 2 to 5 pm. Back by popular demand, Binghamton’s The Stoutmen will appear at Auburn AOH. The Stoutmen perform traditional Irish Songs. This is a free admission event.
- Tuesday, March 17, St Patrick’s Day. Mass at Sacred Heart at 10 am. The traditional event of raising the Irish flag at Auburn City Hall is at 11 am. Following this, a full day of festivities and food for purchase will be happening at Auburn AOH. From 3 to 6 pm, The Flyin’ Column will perform its array of Irish music. This is a free admission event.
