On Monday, the City of Canandaigua Police Department arrested a Canandaigua man following an investigation into a violent encounter that occurred last month.
Police arrested 54-year-old Edwin Feliciano on charges of Strangulation in the First Degree and Robbery in the Second Degree. The charges stem from an incident on March 15th, where Feliciano allegedly assaulted and strangled a city resident. Following the assault, Feliciano is accused of stealing property from the victim.
Feliciano was processed by officers and subsequently transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
