A local man will spend 18 years in prison for raping two children under the age of 15.
The Citizen reports Donald Clarke, of Auburn, was sentenced on Thursday to 11 years in prison with 20 years of post-release supervision on a charge of sexual conduct against a child younger than 13, and seven years in prison with 10 years of supervision on a charge of second-degree rape. The prison sentences will be served consecutively.
The 48-year-old was indicted one year ago but fled to New York City, delaying his arrest until he returned to Auburn and was arrested while walking on West Washington Street last June.
