Could Weedsport’s former Shurfine store soon get a new tenant? Byrne Dairy is proposing to build a gas station and convenience store at the location.
The proposal will be discussed at a public hearing tonight at 7 at Brutus Town Hall.
The community lost its only grocery store in February, when Shurfine closed suddenly, citing financial struggles and competition from big-box retailers.
