A Town of Galen man has died following an equipment accident.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies say they were called to a location in Galen at noon on Tuesday after receiving a report that a skid steer had fallen on someone. When first responders arrived, John Thoms Jr. was pronounced dead.
Wayne County EMS and the Clyde Fire Department assisted at the scene, with firefighters helping to extricate Thoms.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
