A Cayuga County tradition returns Saturday.
TomatoFest will celebrate its 40th anniversary this Saturday.
The event, designed to raise food and monetary donations for food pantries throughout the county, the daylong event features live music, food trucks, craft vendors, nonprofits, and family-friendly activities. While free to attend, attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to donate.
New for this year, TomatoFest will take place at the Fingerlakes Mall. Organizers said the decision will allow for expanded offerings planned for the milestone anniversary. It will also allow events to move inside the mall in the event of rain.
The event had been held in Downtown Auburn. Before that, it was held at Emerson Park.
