A Naples man was hospitalized Saturday evening following a single-car crash on State Route 245 in the Yates County Town of Italy.
Naples and Middlesex firefighters responded just before 7 o’clock after it was reported that the driver was trapped and the vehicle was on fire. The driver, identified as 64-year-old David Burns, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Yates County deputies received assistance from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Naples and Middlesex fire departments, Naples Ambulance, Middlesex Ambulance, Canandaigua Emergency Squad, and the Yates County Office of Emergency Services.
