The Village of Weedsport is once again applying for a $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative Award.
County planners announced they’re looking for business owners and developers interested in submitting a project for inclusion in the village’s application.
Eligible projects include but are not limited to building renovations, creating upper floor apartments, upgrading equipment for businesses, building additions and expansions, new construction, and parks and other amenities.
Those interested in submitting a project should contact Nathaniel Rogers at 315-253-1484, [email protected], or Natalie Stanton at 315-253-1483, [email protected]. Paper submission forms are available at the Village Clerk’s Office.
A new website has also been created with information on the village’s application.
Projects must be submitted by August 15.
In Cayuga County, Auburn won DRI funding in 2018. The Villages of Cayuga, Union Springs, and Aurora jointly won funding in 2024.
The village has previously applied for both DRI and NY Forward funding.
