Multiple HABs Reported on Cayuga Lake

Harmful Algal Blooms have been spotted throughout Cayuga Lake.

According to the Cayuga Science Institute’s HAB map, seven blooms were reported Tuesday, with five on the western shore and two at the northern end. None were reported on the Cayuga County side of the lake.

People are reminded not to swim, fish, boat, or let their pets in waters near HABs.
