A former Walworth town supervisor has admitted to misusing public funds following a months-long investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Susie Jacobs pleaded guilty on Monday in Wayne County Court to Misapplication of Property, after authorities say she improperly paid herself over $12,000 in additional compensation without Town Board approval.
According to investigators, the unauthorized payments occurred between September 2021 and January 2022, when Jacobs served as town supervisor and assumed the role of comptroller.
She was released on a conditional discharge and ordered to repay the full $12,293 to the Town of Walworth.
