The Town of Owasco’s Inflow and Filtration project is set to begin Monday.

Construction will begin at 7:00a with crews working from 7:00a-3:30p.

The project aims to improve infrastructure on Styker, Van Duyne, and Third Avenues, including water, sanitary sewer, storm/drainage, and roadway improvements. According to the town, it pays an estimated $300,000-$500,000 per year to the City of Auburn for treating clean stormwater. This project is hoped to reduce those costs by reducing the amount of stormwater entering the town’s sanitary sewer system.

Construction is expected to take two years to complete. Styker Ave will be the first street to be improved, with Van Duyne and Third Ave work to be scheduled at a later date.
