Interlaken Man Pleads Guilty in Medicaid Transportation Fraud Case

SHARE NOW

New York Attorney General Letitia James announced that an Interlaken man has pleaded guilty in connection with a Medicaid transportation fraud scheme uncovered during a broader investigation by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG).

56-year-old David Moore pleaded guilty to Grand Larceny for submitting fraudulent claims to Medicaid through his transportation company, ASAP 2. According to investigators, Moore paid illegal kickbacks to multiple Medicaid recipients and falsely inflated mileage on trip claims. These actions led to Medicaid paying over $50,000 based on the fraudulent submissions.

Moore’s plea is one of several recent actions taken by the OAG to crack down on fraud within the medical transportation industry.
