A Rochester woman has died from injuries she sustained in a two-car rollover crash in Canandaigua over the weekend.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 76-year-old Susan Labigan passed away Tuesday at Strong Memorial Hospital. Labigan had been in critical condition since Sunday afternoon, when deputies say she failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Emerson Road and County Road 28.
Her vehicle was struck by a pickup truck and rolled down a steep embankment. Labigan had to be rescued by Canandaigua firefighters before being airlifted to the hospital.
The driver of the pickup, 20-year-old Ethan Michaelski of Palmyra, suffered only minor injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
