Cayuga County Building Partially Collapses

The top of a Port Byron auto parts store partially collapsed Saturday.

Bricks and other debris from Advantage Auto Stores at 82 Utica St. in the village crashed onto the sidewalk and street.

The Citizen reports no one was inside the building at the time, and no injuries were reported. The downtown intersection of Routes 31 and 38 was closed for hours as the debris moved from the road and was fenced off on the sidewalk.
