A two-car accident involving an Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputy remains under investigation following a collision on State Route 96 in front of Phoenix Mills Plaza.
According to a preliminary report, Deputy Casey Morey was driving a 2018 Sheriff’s Patrol Dodge Charger westbound when the vehicle in front of him stopped to turn into the plaza. Deputy Morey struck the rear of the 2025 Toyota RAV4, driven by 26-year-old Allyson Chester of Farmington.
Chester was evaluated at the scene by Victor Farmington Ambulance and declined transport. Deputy Morey was taken to Thompson Hospital, where he was treated and released for undisclosed injuries.
Assisting the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office at the scene were New York State Police, the Victor Fire Department, and Victor Farmington Ambulance
