A Rochester man has been arrested for allegedly robbing the AT&T store on Recreation Drive in Hopewell, just outside of the city of Canandaigua, on Tuesday.
According to State Police, Karrim Bouchet threatened employees with a gun and forced them to take him to a safe where he stole over $15,000 in cell phones and cell phone accessories. Within two hours of the robbery occurring, State Police in Waterloo found the 25-year-old in Waterloo.
Bouchet was charged with felony counts of robbery and grand larceny and was sent to the Ontario County Jail following his arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
