A Lyons man led police on a pursuit Christmas night.
It started when Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a complaint of a car parked in the middle of the road. When deputies made contact with the driver, 32-year-old Jawuan Thomas, he fled in his car and led a pursuit through the town of Palmyra. He was later found to be driving without a license due to multiple suspensions.
Thomas was charged with failure to obey police, aggravated unlicensed operation and obstructing governmental administration.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
