SHARE NOW

A 38-year-long career came to an end Friday as Sergeant Roger Ward retired from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.

Sergeant Ward served in the Correctional Division for many years. He also spent time as the Jail Administrator, Union President, and Dive Team Member, and had many other assignments. Sergeant Ward also served in the United States Army prior to coming to the Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Tim Thompson remarked, “I want to thank Sergeant Ward for his many years of leadership and dedication to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and this community. We will certainly miss him, but we wish him nothing but the best in retirement. His legacy will continue on in this agency as the new generation of leaders use what he has taught them.”
