The Seneca County Opioid Overdose Prevention (SCOOP) Task Force is hosting a community forum next month that is designed to discuss the nationwide opioid epidemic and gain a better understanding of what the crisis looks like in the county.
The SCOOP Task Force acknowledges that opioid use and addictions are a concern for Seneca County and that youth, adults, families and businesses are being negatively impacted. The goals of the public forum are to listen to community members about what they are seeing and experiencing, both personally and professionally, to gain a better understanding of the problem, and to ensure the opioid settlement funds allocated to the county are spent as effectively and efficiently as possible.
All Seneca County residents are welcomed and encouraged to attend the public forum on September 12th at the Seneca Falls Recreation Center from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
