A 66-year-old Level Two sex offender has been arrested on a warrant issued out of Ontario County Supreme Court.
Stephen Nicosia is charged with felony failure to register an address as a sex offender. It’s the second time he has been charged with this offense. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the investigation into Nicosia began in October of 2021 when he allegedly fled his parole address to an unknown location. He failed to register any new addresses and this warrant was issued along with a parole absconder warrant. Nicosia was recently located in Florida and was extradited to New York by New York State Parole.
Nicosia was arraigned before the Ontario County Supreme Court and sent to Ontario County Jail without bail.
Nicosia was convicted in September 2014 for sexually abusing a child under the age of 11. He was sentenced to five years in prison.
