A woman was treated for minor injuries after she drove her car off Route 31 into the Erie Canal Thursday morning.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports Jennifer Smith was driving north on Alderman Road in Macedon when she failed to stop for a stop sign and ended up in the Canal just before one o’clock. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
Deputies were assisted with the investigation by South Macedon Fire Department, and Wayne County Medic 14.
