11 P.M. UPDATE: Power has been restored to impacted NYSEG customers.
Almost 2,500 New York Electric and Gas customers are without power in Schuyler and Seneca counties.
According to its outage map, impacted customers are in the villages of Burdett and Lodi along with the towns of Ovid, Montour, Hector and Lodi. Crews are restoring the repairs and have given an estimated restoration time of 11:30 p.m.
The cause of the outage is unknown at this time.
