Arrest Made in Ithaca Stabbing

A 20-year-old has been arrested for a stabbing that happened early Tuesday morning.

Thomas Henry, of Ithaca, was arrested on felony charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon. The alleged stabbing occurred at an apartment house in the 600 block of Spencer Road. The victim, who was severely bleeding when police arrived on the scene, was taken to a nearby trauma center and at last word was expected to survive.

Henry fled the scene and was taken into custody late Tuesday afternoon. He is currently jailed in lieu of bail.

An unrelated shooting that occurred right around the same time as the stabbing in the 300 block of North Meadow Street remains under investigation.
