Cayuga County Assembly Boarders Could Change

SHARE NOW

Cayuga County’s State Assembly District lines could once again change.

The state’s Independent Redistricting Commission submitted its proposed changes for the assembly lines to the State Legislature on Thursday. If adopted, Cayuga County’s changes would be minor.

The 120th district which contains Sterling and Victory and the126th district which houses Auburn, Owasco, and Port Byron would remain the same. The 131st district, containing Locke and Union Springs and stretching from Canandaigua down to Madison county would pick up more more land in Madison and Chenango Counties.

The State Legislature will now have to vote on whether or not to accept the new lines.

Below is a look at the proposed district lines.
