A State Trooper was injured after a fight with a Cayuga County man.

The Times of Wayne County reports State Police responded to a 911 call in the Village of Red Creek on January 27th. Upon arrival to the Canada Street location, 29-year old Trevor Anthony of Martville began fighting with troopers, seriously injuring one.

The injured officer and Anthony were both taken to Newark-Wayne Hospital for treatment.

Anthony was charged with assault, resisting arrest, and obstruction. He was also found to have been wanted for failing to appear in a petit larceny investigation.

The District Attorney suggested bail be set at 5-thousand dollars cash or 10-thousand dollars bond; however, Anthony was released and is set to appear in Wolcott Town Court at a later date.
