The president of Cayuga County’s health board has resigned.
The Citizen reports Keith Batman announced his resignation during the board’s meeting on Tuesday.
Batman became the Democratic party’s election commissioner on the first of the year, replacing Katie Lacey, who retired. By law, election commissioners are barred from holding public office.
Batman had served served as the board of health’s president since 2021.
