• ⁠Tina’s book⁠ tells the story of the restoration of the bald eagle in New York with two eaglets at the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge.
• Two early moments that led her on the path to the project, her hiring at a zoo in Louisville, KY and her work on the peregrine falcon program at Cornell with Tom Cade.
• How Tina and her colleagues put together the program largely from scratch. Not much was known about the behavior of eagles in the wild, including whether they would know how to feed themselves without learning it from their parents.
• One the eagles she raised was found 37 years later, after it had been hit and killed by a car.
