Stop out at Rose Hill’s Carriage House Gift Shop on July 22 and 23 for a special Christmas in July sale event. This is an opportunity to shop for unique gifts in a historic setting with a special 15% discount.
- New Exhibits at the Geneva History Museum – New Acquisitions – This exhibit showcases a number of the items that have been donated in the last several years and some of the interesting stories they tell. New Acquisitions will be on display at the museum through September 16, 2023. – Lift Every Voice: Geneva’s Black Community Since 1966 – This exhibit explores the history of Geneva’s Black community since the period of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s. It continues the story started in the 1991 exhibit and 1993 book Make A Way Somehow: African American Life in a Northern Community 1790-1965. On display at the museum through spring 2024.
- My Geneva Is….Playgrounds and Parks – If you grew up in Geneva, did you participate in the summer playground recreation program? Where was your favorite place to play in Geneva? What memories do you have of local parks and playgrounds? We are looking to collect photos and memories of local parks and playgrounds. If you have images or memories to share, send us a photo of your chosen park or playground and share your favorite memory with us. Submissions will be part of the My Geneva is… exhibit and will be added to the Historic Geneva photo collection. The exhibit will open in September 2023 and run through January 2024. - Boston Bus Trip – August 8-10 – Join Historic Geneva and Bus America Group Tours for a trip to Boston. The bus will leave Geneva at 6:30 am on August 8 and the estimated return time on August 10 is 6:45 pm. Cost: $795 per person.
