- Civil War Day will be held for school students September 27 and for the public September 28 at Rose Hill Mansion.
- The free event features a scenario in which the mansion is a Virginia plantation taken over by Union soldiers with the Reynolds’ Battery 1st NY Light Artillery and the 148th NY Volunteer Infantry.
- The mansion is currently featuring a display on mourning in the 19th century, featuring some of the rituals and superstitions of the day.
- There will be displays of Civil War era skills and artifacts.
