Ten Cent Town Wins at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack

The 2026 live thoroughbred racing stakes season at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack got underway on Monday with the 41st running of the $50,000 George Barker Stakes. Ten Cent Town won the annual event for older colts and geldings after breaking from the extreme outside post.

Ten Cent Town took over the lead halfway through the race and held off Antonio of Venice to secure the one-half length victory. The Brad Cox-trainee completed the six furlong event for older fillies and mares in a final time of 1:11.47.

The six-year-old gelding owned by Michael Dubb was guided to his first stakes triumph by jockey ReyLu Gutierrez.

With the win, Ten Cent Town improved his lifetime earnings to a sum of $392,340 and paid $5.34, $2.22 and $2.10. Antonio of Venice was game to earn the second-place position and returned $2.10 and $2.10. Quiet Wisdom finished third and paid $2.80.
