SUNY Corning Community College softball coach Stacy Johnson has reached a major milestone, earning her 750th career victory with the Red Barons.

The milestone came Thursday as Corning swept Tompkins Cortland Community College on the road, winning 10-0 and 5-2.

Now in her 29th season leading the program, Johnson is among the most accomplished coaches in NJCAA history. She currently ranks among the top 20 active coaches in career wins and is one of only two Division III coaches in that group.

Johnson credited the achievement to the players and culture built within the program. She emphasized that the milestone reflects the many student-athletes who have contributed to the team’s success over the years.

Throughout her career, Johnson has earned numerous honors, including 10 NJCAA Region III Coach of the Year awards and 14 Mid-State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honors. She has also coached dozens of All-Americans and helped many players continue their careers at the next level.

The Red Barons are once again having a strong season in 2026, entering the final week of the regular season with a 23-4 overall record, including an unbeaten mark in conference play.

Corning returns to action Sunday, April 26, with a doubleheader at Genesee Community College, before returning home later in the week to host Erie Community College.
