The Greater Syracuse Labor Council, AFL-CIO, New York Immigration Coalition, and the Workers’ Center of Central New York together are hosting a rally for Workers’ Memorial Day on Monday.
The rally at the James M Hanley Federal Building will feature a number of guest speakers including local elected officials, labor leaders, and community advocates. The names of those workers who passed away while on the job in the Central New York area will be read publicly for a period of mourning.
The event starts at 4:30 p.m.
