UPDATE 8 P.M. (10/2):
On October 2, 2023, through the course of the investigation, State Police identified an individual as being in the area of the Moreau Lake State Park around the time Charlotte went missing. Further investigation led to the search of multiple residences where the individual is known to reside. Upon the search of those residences, at approximately 6:32 p.m. on October 2, 2023, State Police located Charlotte Sena safe and in good health. The suspect was taken into custody.
This investigation is a culmination of multiple agencies working together for the common goal of bringing this child home to her loving family.
We (State Police) cannot emphasize enough how appreciative we are for the support we received from Charlotte’s community, friends and family.
This is still an active investigation. More details will be shared as they become available. In addition a press briefing will be planned for tomorrow October 3, 2023. The location and time will be published to the newsroom as soon as it becomes available
UPDATE 7:30 P.M. (10/2): Charlotte Sena has been located and in good health. A suspect is in custody. This is still an active investigation. More details will be released as they become available.
NYSP has activated AMBER Alert for a child abduction that occurred near Moreau Lake State Park in Gansevoort, NY at about 6:45 PM on 9/30/2023.
