A New York State Police Officer was shot Wednesday in Nassau County. According to troopers, the incident happened just before midnight on the Southern State Parkway.
Trooper Thomas Masci was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.
At the time of reporting, the suspect is still at large. Police are asking anyone with information to call at 631-756-3300.
