A Toronto man has pled guilty to firearms trafficking after selling over one hundred firearms to undercover officers in New York.
According to the US Attorney’s Office, 29-year-old Jeshua Lion Myers, a citizen of Canada, the US, and the Bahamas admitted in court to conspiracy to commit firearms trafficking.
In December 2023, Myers told an undercover law enforcement officer that he could travel to Florida and bring guns to New York State, believing the officer could then smuggle the guns to Canada. On December 20, Myers sold the officer 19 firearms and various components and ammunition for $33,000 in Buffalo. Additionally, on February 13, 2024, Myers provided approximately 110 firearms to undercover law enforcement officers.
When sentenced in February, Myers faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
The plea is the result of a joint investigation by the Department of Homeland Security, ATF, and Ontario Provincial Police.
