Tenney Unveils Ag Plan Focused on NY Farms, Foreign Land Protections

Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) has released a new agriculture plan aimed at supporting New York’s family farms, expanding markets for local producers, and protecting U.S. farmland from foreign ownership.

Tenney represents NY-24, the largest agricultural district in the Northeast and fifth in the nation for dairy production. The district includes Wayne County, the third-largest apple-producing county in the U.S., along with top maple syrup producers in Wyoming County and the Finger Lakes’ renowned vineyards and orchards.

The plan highlights efforts to strengthen specialty crops, boost dairy production, and safeguard farmland from foreign adversaries.

“Our farms are not just the heart of our economy but the heart of our communities,” Tenney said in a statement. “From dairy and apples to maple syrup, vineyards and other specialty crops, our producers feed America and sustain thousands of local jobs. My Agriculture Plan delivers real solutions, unlocking the potential of our rural communities, counteracting hostile foreign interference, and providing farmers with the certainty they need to thrive.”
