Syracuse Teen Accused of Shooting at Occupied Car

SHARE NOW

A Syracuse teen has been arrested after allegedly firing gunshots at a car parked in a driveway in the Onondaga County town of Nedrow.

Witnesses described the car from the area in which the shot had come, leading deputies to locate the car in Otisco. Four people were inside of the car when it was stopped and an investigation by the Onondaga Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit determined 18-year-old Jeremiah Young fired a shot at the car, which was occupied at the time.

Young was arrested two days later and charged with Felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, Felony Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree, and Felony Criminal Possession of a Firearm.

Young is currently being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
