SHARE NOW

A guilty plea was entered this week in a Southern Tier courtroom from the man accused of setting a barn on fire at Tioga Downs Casino that killed 30 horses back in November.

A trainer was also injured in the blaze while trying to rescue the horses. The Tioga County District Attorney’s Office reports Boyd Fenton pleaded guilty to felony arson, assault and 30 counts of interference with or injury to certain domestic animal charges.

The DA said the 33-year-old Fenton will likely receive 7 to 15 years in prison when sentenced on April 19th.
